Who would not want to spend a few days in the company of British Columbian and Canadian writers on Denman Island in the summer? This festival has been going since 2002 and features both presentations and in depth writing workshops with visiting authors. Festival organizers seek out writers representing a diversity of backgrounds, ages and genres with a particular focus on young writers and Indigenous writers. In addition to the formal presentations, this festival offers lots of informal opportunities for participants to connect with each other and the visiting authors.
